VOLUNTEERING
AT AEYC/thread:
The Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) is
your link to Early Childhood Programs in Southeast Alaska! Our non-profit
organization sponsors conferences, trainings, advocacy, and public
education regarding children' s issues.
AEYC administers the Child Care Resource and Referral Service, thread,
and the Child Care Food Program in Southeast Alaska. We maintain
a Lending Library of learning materials and offer parenting classes.
We can provide numerous types of volunteer opportunities depending
on your interests.
Here are some ways YOU can help:
|
| |
|
- Lend
a hand to one of our thread regional trainers. They need help setting up
for workshops, getting materials ready & copied! (some evening
participation)
- Help organize and update our Lending Library!
- March with us, be a part of our advocacy group and help us spread
the word about the importance of Early Childhood Education.
- Help us prepare for our annual AEYC Conference held each year in March.
- General Office Assistance is always appreciated (filing, answering
phones, copying, sending out flyers).
